Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah has urged the District Administrations to work with zeal and dedication to percolate down the benefits of development to the people living in hilly and far-flung areas of the State. He said Government is alive to the problems and hardships being faced by the people in remote areas and asked the district officers to mitigate their sufferings. Stressing judicious and timely utilization of funds and execution of works with transparency, he called for achieving optimum results in developmental scenario within stipulated time frame, with a focus to ensure completion of works within the available working period of the current fiscal. While addressing the review meetings of District Development Boards of Ramban and Udhampur in Jammu Division, Omar Abdullah said that the Government has decided to engage external Consultants for monitoring of bigger and smaller projects being executed in the State.
