The council of ministers in the new government in Maharashtra is all set to take oath tomorrow. A meeting to discuss on the ministerial berths in the Maharashtra cabinet was attended today by senior leaders of Congress and NCP in Mumbai. The ruling combine of Congress and NCP have agreed on their 1999 formula.AIR correspondent reports, After a meeting between the top leaders of Congress and NCP in Mumbai, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has clarified that there is no difference of opinion between the Congress and the NCP. He said the list of Congress ministers to be inducted into his Cabinet is almost ready. Mr. Chavan has left to Delhi this afternoon for further approval from Congress President Sonia Gandhi on the list of candidates.Senior NCP leader and Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel also gave a clear indication that old formula of 23:20 would stay between the ruling alliance in Maharashtra. He told reporters in Mumbai that in the last one year, Congress and NCP had run the government smoothly. Patel’s statement comes after the deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar demanded for additional portfolio for the NCP.
