Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has said that a decision on the issue of separate statehood for Telangana will be taken within a month.

Addressing the media after an all-party meeting on the issue in New Delhi today,he urged people to maintain calm. He said the meeting was cordial and he will brief the Cabinet about its outcome before a final decision is taken.

Our correspondent reports, eight parties, including Congress, BJP, Telugu Desam Party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi and YSR Congress attended the meeting.
