A decision about increase in MSP for Rabi crop will be taken in a meeting of Union Cabinet on Wednesday. Addressing a press conference in Jaipur after meeting of Agriculture Ministers of nine States, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar said that this year bumper crop of wheat and paddy is expected and Government has decided to help farmers with easy crop loan. Pawar announced that the central government will extend all support to Rajasthan government for procuring Bajra on MSP and 50 crore rupees have been granted to the State government who start the process of procurement immediately. He said that quantity of damaged foodgrains in FCI godowns has drastically decreased. He said that state government should provide more foodgrains in open market to control the prices.
