In Uttar Pradesh, the Allahabad high court has directed the state government for taking a final decision on the issue of prosecution of accused doctors and officers in multi crore National Rural Health Mission scam. Directing the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI to wrap the probe into the scam within 20 days, Lucknow bench of the court directed the state government to inform it in writing about the final decision on August 29. A division bench of the court comprising justices Imtiyaz Murtaza and Ashwani Kumar Singh has pulled the state government for not allowing the CBI to prosecute officials accused in the scam. Later principle secretary health and family welfare appeared in the court and gave the assurance that final decision about prosecution of the accused will be taken up before the next hearing of the case.
