In China, the death toll from Saturday's tornado and hailstorm that hit the north eastern Heilongjiang Province has risen to seven. According to local official source, 98 people were injured in the incident. A total of 3,684 people were evacuated after 28 townships of Suihua City, about 120 kilometres from the provincial capital Harbin, were hit by the violent weather last evening. Minqiang Village of Gongrong township was the hardest hit with the roofs of every house uplifted. Relief and rescue operations are still under way in the affected areas.
