Death toll rises to 28 in motor lunch accident in Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, the death toll in the motor launch accident near Bhola has gone up to 28. The Lal mohon bound motor launch MV Coco , capsized in the river Tentulia near Nazirpur , 40 kilometres from Bhola late last night. The launch left Dhaka yesterday. More than 1000 passengers were travelling on the vessel when the tragedy struck. According to the District police authorities, some of the people drowned as they were trapped inside the cabins, while most of the passengers managed to swim ashore safely or were rescued by small boats . The President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh have condoled the death of the people in the accident.<br/>
