Death toll of Indian Hajj pilgrims rises to 11 in Mecca crane crash

External Affairs Ministry has said nine more Indian Haj pilgrims have died in Friday's Grand Mosque crane collapse in Mecca, taking the toll to eleven.<br/><br/>Earlier, the Ministry had informed about death of two Indians, one from West Bengal and the other from Kerala.<br/><br/>Talking exclusively to AIR, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said, government is making every effort to locate the missing Indians and extending all necessary help to the families of the eleven deceased pilgrims in order to complete formalities in Mecca.<br/><br/>Mr Swarup said, among the injured are three each from Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, two each from Delhi and West Bengal, and one each from Punjab, Bihar and Assam.<br/><br/>The incident, which occurred ahead of the annual Haj pilgrimage, has claimed 115 lives so far.
