<span style="color: #222222;">The death toll in yesterday's bus-auto rickshaw collision in Maharashtra's Nashik district mounted to 26 this morning with recovery of few more bodies of passengers from the well in which both the vehicles had fallen. Nine women and a seven-year-old girl were among the deceased while the bus driver also lost his life in the crash. The 32 injured are being treated at state-run hospitals.<br />''<br />''Nasik District police official informed that the rescue operation has been called off as the rescuce teams cleared the site. According to police the accident occurred on yesterday evening when a speeding state transport (ST) bus collided with an auto-rickshaw, causing both the vehicles to fall into a roadside well at Meshi Ghat near Deola near Nasik in the north Maharashtra around 200 kms from Mumbai.The official said both the vehicles have been pulled out of the water body.</span><br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the MSRTC, in a release said the bus driver was prima facie responsible for the devastating crash. Transport Minister and MSRTC chairman Anil Parab termed the accident as unfortunate and announced 10 lakh rupees compensation each to the kin of the deceased. He said the MSRTC will bear the entire cost of treatment of the injured people. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has directed the administration to provide all possible help to the people injured in the accident.</span><br />''  <br />
