Death toll in the Uri attack has risen to 18. Sepoy K Vikas Janardhan, succumbed to his injuries today, after he was airlifted to Army Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi, being critically injured in the attack.<br/><br/>Two other critically injured soldiers have also been airlifted to the military hospital in New Delhi.<br/>Four terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed group entered the battalion headquarters of 10 Dogra regiment and killed 17 soldiers. <br/><br/>All the four terrorists were eliminated.<br/>Meanwhile, bodies of two army jawans of Jharkhand martyred yesterday morning were brought today at Ranchi Birsa Munda Airport. <br/><br/>Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuwar Das announced ex-gratia payments of 10 lakh rupees each to the families of the soldiers. Paying homage to the martyred soldiers at Ranchi, he said that all possible helps would be given to the dependents of the soldiers families.<br/><br/>Maharashtra state government also announced financial assistance to be given as solatium to the families of four soldiers who lost their lives in Sunday's terrorist attack. State Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar told the reporters in Mumbai that a financial assistance of 15 lakh ruppes each will be given to the families.<br/><br/>Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav expressed his heartfelt grief on the incident and expressed his deep sympathy for the families of jawans who sacrificed their life in this terrorist attack. <br/><br/>The Chief Minister announced 20 lakh rupees financial assistance for the families of four martyrs Jawanas who were from Uttar Pradesh.
