In Pakistan, the death toll in the suicide blast that took place on Thursday evening in the northwestern city of Hangu, has gone up to 36. The dead include 10 policemen. Nearly 50 people have been injured in the blast. Reports say, the death toll is likely to rise further as the condition of some of the wounded is said to be critical. The explosion took place when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives-laden vehicle near a court complex and government offices at Hangu in the restive northwest region. Witnesses said several persons could be buried in the rubble of shops and buildings that collapsed following the powerful blast. Taliban have said the attacks are a revenge for killing of Osama bin Laden and have vowed to launch more attacks across Pakistan.
