In Uttar Pradesh, death toll in spurious liquor tragedy has gone up to 28 in Bulandshahr and Ghaziabad districts. Four state excise department officers have been suspended for alleged dereliction of duties. One SHO has already been suspended and four persons have been arrested in Ghaziabad while five have been detained for interrogation in Bulandshahr. Quoting police sources, AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that state government has asked an IG level officer to investigate the incidents.<br/>In Bulandshahr district, a total of 15 have been killed after consuming spurious liquor till now. In the district, several residents of Mirpur, Khawjpur and Daulatgarh villages and labourers working at different brick making centres under Kotwali police station area had taken spurious from a shop in Mirzapur village on Tuesday night. More than a dozen are admitted in nearby hospitals. The liquor shop was sealed and the shop-owner was taken into custody.<br/>In Ghaziabad district, 3 more persons are reported dead in the incident taking the death toll to 13 under Simbhawali and Bahadurgarg police stations since Tuesday. Seven persons died in Bahadurgarh area while 6 in Simbhawali police area. SHO of the Simbhawali area has been suspended and four persons have been arrested in this connection. Nearly 10 persons are admitted in hospital and some of them in critical situation. SSP of the district told AIR that a police team has been sent to Aligarh to nab culprits from where spurious liquor was allegedly brought.<br/><br/>
