The death toll in ongoing violence in Kokrajhar and Chirang district has gone up to 19. Night curfew has been re-imposed from 6 PM to 6 AM in both the districts. The Principal Secretary Home that alert has been sounded in 10 districts along the North bank of the river Brahmaputra to avert any possible disturbance .Additional security forces have been deployed in Kokrajhar, Dhubri and Chirang district. Ten additional companies of Para military forces will be deployed in Kokrajahr soon. Over 50 thousand people have taken shelter at 50 relief camps. Three state ministers today visited the violence hit Kokrajhar district and took stock of the situation. They urged all sections of people to maintain peace and harmony.
