Death toll in Odisha train mishap increases to five

In Odisha, the death toll in the train accident at Tangriapal station in Keonjhar district has increased to five. Only three bodies have been recovered so far. Two more bodies are still inside the mangled engines of the ill-fated goods trains. All those dead are staffers of the Indian Railways. The accident took place on Wednesday in the early hours following a head-on collision between two goods train. Senior railway officials said, rescue operations are on. Repair work is also on at Tangriapal railway station to restore normalcy in train movements. AIR correspondent reports, train movements in the Jakhapura-Banspani rail route where the accident took place is likely to be normal by Thursday evening.
