In Andhra Pradesh, the death toll in Friday's building collapse in Hyderabad rose to 13 this morning. District Collector Naveen Mittal said, 6 more are undergoing treatment in various city hospitals. He said the removal of the debris of the 4-storied building is taking place slowly as some more people are suspected to have been trapped under the rubble. The personnel from Army, Police Fire-service are conducting rescue works with the help of poclainers and gas cutters. Nearly 15 labourers were working on the top floor when the four-storied structure besides a school building caved in yesterday at a busy road in Hyderabad. Most of them were identified as workers. Among the victims were a two-year old boy and four women. The Greater Hyderabad Municpal Corporation has suspended 3 officials including an Assistant town planner. Besides ordering an enquiry into the incident, the government has announced an exgratia of Rs 2.5 lakh each to the kin of victims.
