In Andhra Pradesh, the death toll in the Hyderabad building collapse has gone up to 11. Among the victims were a two-year old boy and four women. Police, fire-service personnel and locals managed to rescue two labourers trapped under the debris using poclains and cranes. Nearly 15 labourers were working on the top floor when the four-storied structure besides a school building caved in yesterday at a busy road. All the students of the school were immediately evacuated as a precaution.<br/><br/>After inspecting the spot, Home Minister Sabitha Indrareddy directed authorities to arrest the builder. She said stern action would be taken against all the officials who were involved in giving permissions to the building. The Greater Hyderabad Municpal Corporation has suspended 3 officials including an Assistant own planner.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the Municipal Administration Minister Aanam Ramnarayana Reddy ordered an enquiry into the incident. Labour minister Ramreddy VenkatReddy has announced an exgratia of 2 lakh rupees each to the kin of those killed.
