The death toll reached to 143 in Gyaneswari Express accident in the West Midnapore district of West Bengal. The train derailed in Sardiha near Jhargram.The condition of five out of 145 injured is critical. Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has demanded a CBI enquiry in to the Gyaneshwari Express train mishap.<br/><br/>Talking to news persons in Kolkata, She hinted at a political conspiracy behind the mishap. The West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Pradeep Bhattacharya also demanded a thorough probe into the incident.<br/><br/>The West Bengal Director General of Police Bhupinder Singh said that Maoists are suspected to be behind the Gyanswari Express train derailment.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, train services resumed from early morning in Kharagpur Tata Section after the tracks were repaired.<br/><br/>A spokesman of the South Eastern Railway said that from 10 PM to 5 AM, the train services will be suspended at the Maoist belt areas and the time of some of the trains will be rescheduled.<br/><br/>Most of the bodies have been kept at the Midnapore Hospital and two at the Kharagpur Railway Hospital. Meanwhile, the Survivors of the Gyaneshwari Express derailment incident, arrived Mumbai last night in a special relief train. AIR correspondent reports that some bodies suspected to be in a coach under the derailed engine are yet to be recovered.
