In Maharashtra, the death toll in the two encounters the police patrol party had with the groups of armed Maoists in Bhamragad taluka of the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district on Thursday, has now reached six. The casualties include the self styled Commander of the naxalites' C-60 team. Two Special Police Officers and a Jawan also lost their lives. The bodies of two male Naxalites were also recovered from the first encounter site near Nargunda. The combing and search operations are on in these areas after getting the reinforcements of additional forces from nearby areas.
