In China, the death toll from rain-triggered landslides and flooding in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has risen to 53 with the recovery of the bodies of all those missing. Torrential rain and subsequent floods and landslides hit 42 counties in nine cities for the last three days. More than 11,000 homes were destroyed, forcing two lakh people to evacuate.
