<span style="color: #222222;">In Bihar, the death toll due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in Muzaffarpur and adjoining areas has touched 171 with seven more deaths reported in the last 24 hours.<br />'' <br />'' Four deaths have been reported from Muzaffarpur, two from East Champaran and one from Begusarai.<br />'' <br />'' 16 new cases of ailing children have been reported from Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH) and Kejriwal hospital. Altogether 91 children are undergoing treatment in both hospitals. Three of them are serious.<br />'' <br />'' The state government has suspended senior resident doctor Dr Bhimsen for dereliction of duty during treatment of children. The Superintendent of SKMCH SK Sahi said, the number of cases of ailing children has come down due to Monsoon rain.</span>
