Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today said, the death of a delhi gangrape accused Ram Singh at the Tihar jail as a major lapse by the Prison department.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Shinde said, a magisterial inquiry is in progress. He said, the truth will come out in the enquiry. He said, it is too early to comment on the incident at the moment.

Speaking on the anti terror body, National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), the home minister said, a note is being sent to cabinet and the proposal is being taken forward. He said, the idea has not been dropped .

Mr. Shinde also said progress have also been made in investigations into the recent twin blasts at Hyderabad.
