In Tamil Nadu, the 37th death anniversary of Rationalist leader Periyar and the 23rd death anniversary of former Chief Minister and AIADMK founder M.G. Ramachandran are being observed in the state. The AIADMK General Secretary Ms. Jayalalitha along with party functionaries and workers paid homage at the M.G.R Samadhi, on the marina beach. Several other party leaders also paid their respects. At the Periyar Thidal in the city, the Dravidar kazhagam President Mr K.Veeramani along with several leaders paid homage to the late leader.
