The Delhi and District Cricket Association will form a two-member inquiry committee to look into the pitch fiasco which resulted in the abandonment of the fifth and final India-Sri Lanka ODI in Delhi on Sunday. Vibhakar Shashtri, the government nominee on the DDCA, said that DDCA secretary S P Bansal has assured him that the association will form an inquiry committee which will submit its report within a week. DDCA President Arun Jaitley also assured speedy inquiry into the incident. Before the play stopped, Srilanka were at 83 for five in 23.3 overs. Earlier, India had won the toss and elected to field. India leads the 5 match series 3-1. The entire pitch and ground committee of the Delhi and District Cricket Association, DDCA, has resigned owning moral responsibility for the pitch fiasco. The BCCI has also disbanded its Grounds and Pitches Committee.
