Finance Minister today Arun Jaitley filed criminal defamation complaint against Delhi Chief Minister and others in Patiala House Court in the DDCA row. Jaitley told the court, he did not take a single penny from DDCA and Kejriwal and others made defamatory and baseless allegations. Mr. Jaitley has sought Rs 10 crore damages from the AAP leaders for making false statements against him . The Court taking cognizance on Jaitley's complaint, has fixes January 5 for recording the evidence. <br/><br/> Raising the issue during Zero Hour in Parliament, Congress member K Venugopal demanded constitution of Joint Parliamentary Committee to probe the alleged irregularities in DDCA. He also demanded Minister's resignation in the case. Mr. Jaitley stoutly dismissed charges of any wrongdoing on his part in the DDCA affairs, pointing out that there are much bigger irregularities which are being deliberately ignored just to attract attention towards this matter. <br/>Kirti Azad of the BJP said instead of disrupting proceedings in both the Houses, the Congress should seek time a bound Special Investigation Team probe in the case. Later, the Congress staged a walk out from the Lok Sabha.<br/><br/>Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said probe found that Arun Jaitley has no role in DDCA irregularities. He said, Mr Jaitley has impeccable character, honesty and high standards in public life. <br/> <br/>Meanwhile, keeping up an aggressive front, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said, Mr. Arun Jaitley should cooperate with Delhi Government's Commission of Inquiry and prove his innocence. In a tweet he said the Finance Minister Jaitley should not try to scare them by filing cases and their fight against corruption will continue. Earlier in the day Delhi Cabinet approved setting up of commission of inquiry to probe the alleged irregularities in DDCA.
