DDCA row: Cannot answer vague charges, says Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has reacted sharply to Aam Aadmi Party and Congress' demands for his resignation over alleged gross financial irregularities in Delhi's cricket body DDCA during his tenure. Mr Jaitley said in New Delhi yesterday that he cannot answer vague charges by the two parties which he said are trying to deflect the issue of corruption.<br/><br/> The Minister said he can answer on the specific issue and not an allegation without any basis. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had indicated that he proposed to order a Commission of Inquiry into the report of the committee set up by his government to go into the DDCA affairs. Mr Jaitley headed DDCA from 1999 to 2013.
