DDCA gave contracts to bogus firms: Kirti Azad

BJP leader and former cricketer Kirti Azad today alleged that Delhi and District Cricket Association, DDCA gave contracts to bogus companies and payments were made without any verification.<br/><br/>Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Mr Azad released a video that claimed DDCA gave contracts to various companies, but the addresses given for these were found to be false.<br/><br/>He also claimed that fourteen companies whose bills were mostly cleared by DDCA in cash, were found to be fake.<br/><br/>The video also alleged that the cricket body hired office equipments at inflated rates.<br/><br/>Mr Azad clarified that it was not a fight against any individual but fight against corruption.<br/><br/>He also emphatically said that he is a big fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and praised the NDA government's action against corruption. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, Delhi Government has decided to constitute a panel to probe the alleged irregularities in DDCA. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written to former Solicitor General Gopal Subramaniam to head the panel.<br/><br/>Kejriwal led AAP government had levelled allegation of corruption in the cricketing board.
