<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, the District Development Commissioner Kupwara Imam Din today convened a meeting of concerned officers to discuss the action points regarding Jal Shakti Abhiyan- "Catch the Rain" campaign.<br />'' <br />''The meeting discussed threadbare various points to achieve the target under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan. Officers were directed to implement the guidelines of the Abhiyan within the stipulated timeframe.<br />'' <br />''The DDC directed the preparation of GIS based maps, inventories and geo-tagging of all water bodies and water resources in the district. He also instructed for the formulation of a scientific action plan for maintenance and creation of rain water harvesting structure to ensure better utilization of rain water and less dependence on groundwater.<br />'' <br />''Mr Imam Din further stressed for holding of special Gram Sabhas in every panchayat by April 10th this year with the direction that top priority shall be given to the works related to conservation and preservation of water bodies.</span><br />''
