A Delhi court on Wednesday jailed a Delhi Development Authority, DDA, engineer for five years for taking 15,000 rupees bribe for desealing a businessman's premises. The court observed that corruption by public servants has become a gigantic problem and is corroding the country like cancer.The court sentenced DDA's Junior Engineer to five years in jail and his conduit to four years imprisonment.The court made the observations in its verdict in a corruption case registered by the CBI on a complaint by a medicine supplier to government hospitals.
