Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani today said Doordarshan and All India Radio will give information to Divyangs regarding their rights and several schemes which are being run by the Centre. Addressing a function in New Delhi, Mrs Irani said people should be sensitive towards the rights of Divyangs. The Minister said, the education standards for Divyangs should be raised and they must be informed about their career prospects. <br/>'<br/>Speaking on the occasion, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot said, his ministry is committed to empower Divyangs. He said, several schemes have been launched by the Narendra Modi government for them. He said, number of fellowships and scholarships have been increased for Divyangs. The Minister said financial assistance for Divyangs was increased and they have been provided reservation in government sector.
