<span style="color: #222222;">Deputy Commissioner &amp; District Election Officer Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant on Thursday (08th February 2024) &nbsp;flagged off a Mobile Demonstration Van for awareness on usage of EVM/VVPATs in connection with SVEEP activities and the forthcoming General Election to the Lok Sabha 2024 &nbsp;from the Office of Deputy Commissioner Kohima. &nbsp;<br />''<br />''Speaking at the programme, Deputy Commissioner &amp; District Election Officer Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant said, the demonstration will be carried out for two days in three selected urban areas of Kohima town.&nbsp; He said, the demonstration is being carried out to educate and dispel rumours and doubts on the EVM machines among the people including the political parties about the efficacies. Mr. Kumar said this is an opportunity for the people especially the first-time voters to come forward and see how the EVM machines function. He therefore urged the citizens of Kohima town to come forward and experience the facility. Mr. Kumar also informed that simultaneous exercises are being conducted in all the villages and polling stations of the districts.<br />''<br />''The awareness of the usage of EVM/VVPATs is part of the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program, to prepare the voters ahead of the Lok Sabha election.</span><br />
