Educational institutions and commercial establishments are open today for the whole day after 9 days of imposition of curfew in Bareilly city in Uttar Pradesh. The day curfew has been lifted from all four police areas of Baradari, Kotwali, Prem Nagar and Quila police stations. There will be no curfew restrictions from 5 AM to till 7 PM in curfew hit areas.Our Allahabad correspondent reports that security forces are deployed in all sensitive districts of the state. Security agencies have been put on high alert across the state following intelligence inputs and violent protests after Alvida Namaz on last Friday at state capital Lucknow, Allahabad and Kanpur. Provincial Armed Constabulary PAC of state police and Rapid Action Force RAF personnel has been deputed round the clock and senior civil and police officers are also asked to keep close eyes on the situation. Eid was celebrated peacefully in the state .CCTV cameras have been put at sensitive areas in many cities including Lucknow, Allahabad, Kanpur, Meerut and Bareilly to monitor the activities of miscreants. Security forces and intelligence agencies have also launched manhunt against the rumours mongers and persons engaged in sending provocative mails and SMS. One person has been arrested from Bareilly in this connection and some persons are also on police radar in Allahabad and Lucknow.All major opposition political parties of the state including Bharatiya Janata Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, Congress and Communist party have sharply criticized the state government for its failure to tackle the law and order in the state. A delegation of BJP had met recently to the Chief Minister in this regard.
