Day 2, Nagpur Test: India bowl out South Africa for 79

In Cricket, South Africa started the second day of the Nagpur Test today in a disastrous fashion, to be ultimately bundled out for a meagre 79 runs in their first innings. The hosts have taken a crucial 136-run first innings lead as South Africa posted their lowest total against India in Test cricket.Replying to India's 215, the visitors had resumed play at the overnight score of 11 for 2, with Dean Elgar and Skipper Hashim Amla at the crease. Then, in the space of just 3 balls, Spinner R. Ashwin got rid of both the overnight batsmen. AB DeVilliers and Faf Du Plessis soon followed. Ravinder Jadeja claimed both the wicket. Duminy was top scrorer for South Africa with 35 runs.Ashwin ended picking up five wickets, followed by Jadeja who bagged 4 wickets.Yesterday, after opting to bat, the hosts were bundled out for 215. Spinner Simon Harmer scalped 4 wickets, while pacer Morne Morkel took three. For India, Murali Vijay top scored with 40.This is the third Test of the 4-match series. India had won the first match by 108 runs, while the rain-marred second Test ended in a draw.
