Day 10 of FM Phase III: Bengaluru becomes 2nd city to cross provisional winning price of Rs 100 Cr

Four rounds of bidding took place today in the e-auction of the first batch of private FM radio phase III channels. At the close of the tenth day of bidding, 86 channels in 56 cities became provisionally winning channels with cumulative provisional winning price 946 crore rupees against their aggregate reserve price of about 425 Crore rupees. The summation of provisional winning prices surpassed the cumulative reserve price of the corresponding 86 channels by 521.45 Crore rupees or 122.7 per cent. <br/><br/>Overall, cumulative provisional winning price exceeded the total reserve price of the first batch 550.18 Crore rupees by 396.15 Crore rupees or 72 per cent. <br/>After Delhi, Bengaluru became the second city to fetch provisional winning price of over 100 Crore rupees for its channel. At the end of the day, provisional winning price of one channel in Bengaluru reached 104.99 Crore rupees. In Delhi, the provisional winning price of one channel has reached 144.27 Crore rupees. The Auction for the first batch comprising 135 FM Channels in 69 existing cities of Phase II began on 27th of last month. Till now 40 rounds of bidding are over.
