Senior assembly member Vasant Davkhare was unanimously re elected as speaker of Maharashtra legislative council. The voting was done in the second day of monsoon session of assembly. <br/><br/>Kiran Pavaskar of Shiv Sena-BJP alliance withdrew his candidature that opened the way for Davkhare, who is the member of Nationalist Congress Party.<br/>
