India took an unassailable 3-1 lead over New Zealand in Asia/Oceania Group I first round Davis Cup tie in Pune. India's Ramkumar Ramanathan beat New Zealand's Finn Tearney 7-5, 6-1, 6-0 in first reverse singles giving India the lead. Earlier, India had taken a 2-0 lead on Friday after Yuki and Ramkumar won their first two singles matches.However, in the Doubles rubber yesterday, Leander Paes and Vishnu Vardhan lost to the pair of Artem Sitak and Michael Venus taking the tie into the Reverse Singles matches.
