On the third and final day of the World Group Play-off Tie in Chennai today, the hosts scripted a sensational 3-2 win over Brazil, by clinching both the reverse singles. Somdev Devvarman led World Number 27 Thomas Belluci 7-6, 4-0 when Bellucci conceded the first Reverse Singles, failing to negotiate hot and humid conditions. Later, Rohan Bopanna came out firing on all cylinders to beat 75th ranked Ricardo Mello 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. Yesterday, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi kept India's chances alive by winning the Doubles match. It is India's first ever win in a Davis Cup Tie from a 0-2 deficit.
