Brazil have taken a 2-Nil lead over India in the Davis Cup Tennis World Group Play off Tie. In Chennai today, Brazil won both the opening singles matches.In the first match, World No. 27 Thomas Belllucci beat India's Rohan Bopanna. The closely contested encounter lasted over four and a half hours, Thomas Belllucci had to use all his experience to down Bopanna in five sets 6-7, 7-6, 7-5, 4-6, 10-8. In the second Singles, Ricardo Mello defeated India's top ranked player Somdev Dev Varman also in five sets 4-6, 6-2, 6-7, 6-2, 6-4.The crucial Doubles match will be played on Saturday.All India Radio will broadcast a live commentary on the match alternatively in Hindi and English. It can be heard from 1500 hrs. onwards. The two Reverse Singles are slated for Sunday.
