Indian Davis Cup pair – Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna – have won their Doubles tie against Japan. In their Davis Cup World Group play-off tie in Tokyo today they defeated Tatsuma Ito and Yuichi Sugita of Japan to keep India's hope alive.India had lost both its singles matches on the opening day. India are still trailing 1-2 and need to win both the reverse singles tomorrow with Somdev Devvarman clashing with Kei Nishikori and Bopanna taking on Sugita.
