The Labour and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya today gave away the Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar and National Safety Awards for the year 2013 to winners at a function in New Delhi. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion Mr Dattatreya said that government is making concerted efforts to bring improvement in the living and working conditions of the unorganised workers. He said the government wants to equip the youth and new labour market entrants with appropriate skills inclusive of Occupational Safety and Health through various skill development programmes. <br/><br/>In globalised and integrated world economy, he said the focus of attention has shifted not only on quality and productivity but also on important issues like safety, health, welfare and environment.
