Dateline given by nepal President to form national consensus govt

In Nepal, with the seven-day dateline given by the President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav to the political parties to form a national consensus government coming to a close later today, the three major political parties have decided to convene a meeting of all 25-parties in the constituent assembly this afternoon to seek five more days to complete their dialogue process in an attempt to form a government based on consensus.A meeting of the top leaders of Unified CPN(Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN(UML) held in Kathmandu today agreed to discuss the issue with other parties in the constituent assembly before making a formal request to the President. AIR Correspondent reports that the despite a hectic week long parleys, political parties have failed to meet the dateline set by the President to resolve the deadlock on government formation.
