Date for election of new Nepal PM fixed for July 21

In Nepal, the date for election of the new Prime Minister by the members of parliament has been fixed for July 21, paving way for formation of a new government.<br/><br/>Speaker of the parliament Mr. Subhash Nemwang announced the election date after the Business Advisory Committee of parliament including Chief Whips of all political parties set the date at its meeting this afternoon. He said the nomination for the post of Prime Minister can be filed by 20th July.<br/> <br/>AIR Kathmandu Correspondent reports that the President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has asked the parliament to elect a new Prime Minister through majority vote in the House.<br/><br/>Political parties have failed to forge an agreement on forming a national consensus government even within the extended deadline that expired last evening.
