In Arunachal Pradesh, the data of the first phase of Census 2011, known as House listing and Housing Census, were released by the Director of Census Operations, AP, Hage Batt in a workshop held in Itanagar on Saturday. As per the figures, the census houses in the State have increased from 2,83,760 in 2001 Census to 3,75,960 in Census 2011 recording the decadal growth of 32.49 percent. The data also indicated increase in number of households in terms of availability of better amenities like sanitation facilities, housing infrastructures and assets like telephone and mobile, besides encouraging increase in number of households availing banking facilities.The first phase of Census 2011, was conducted a few months prior to the second phase, called Population Enumeration.
