Sri Lanka beat New Zealand by three wickets in the tri-nation ODI series at Dambulla. Chasing a target of 193 runs, Sri Lanka scored the required runs for the loss of seven wickets in 40.5 overs. Malinga and Mathews claimed three wickets each while Herath took two. Kulasekara and Mendis claimed one each. For Sri Lanka Upul Tharanga scored 70 runs, Kumar Sangakkara 48, and Thilan Samaraweera remained not out at 36. Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, New Zealand scored 192 in 48.1 overs.
