Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today met the the kin of the tannery workers who were beaten up in Gujarat for skinning a dead cow, and assured them of all help. He also had tea with the family members of the victims in the remote village of Mota Samadhiyala near Una town of Gir-Somnath district, where the incident took place on 11th July. <br/><br/>Mr. Gandhi also visited the Rajkot Civil Hospital where he met the people who attempted suicide during the protests that erupted across the state over the issue. He said that the weaker sections of the society are being terrorised and trampled upon in Gujarat. Bringing up Rohith Vemula suicide issue, Rahul linked the Hyderabad campus incident with suicide attempts by youths during the ongoing dalit protests in Gujarat.
