Dalai Lama to arrive Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday

Arunachal Pradesh has geared up to receive His Holiness the Dalai Lama tomorrow. The Tibetan spiritual leader, who is on a week long visit to the state will arrive at Tawang from Guwahati by helicopter in the morning. He will be received by Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu and members of the State level reception committee. In Tawang, Monpa and Tibetan motifs have lined up everywhere to welcome the Lama on his sixth visit to the state. After his arrival, the Dalai Lama will proceed to the famous Tawang Monastery. He will deliver religious discourses in Tawang, Dirang, Bomdila and Itanagar. Besides, the religious leader will also inaugurate a library and a state of the art hospital in Tawang. The state government has made elaborate security arrangements for his visit. State Home Minister Tako Dabi told the media today that all security apparatus have been put in place to ensure a peaceful visit of the Tibetan leader.
