Dalai Lama accorded overwhelming reception in J & K

In Jammu and Kashmir, hundreds of well wishers accorded overwhelm reception to the Buddhist Spiritual and Tibetan Leader Dalai Lama , who arrived Nubra valley in Leh district on Tuesday for his nine-day visit. To welcome the Buddhist Spiritual leader Dalai Lama in traditional and religious way, Buddhist monks played musical instruments and well wishers have been crying traditional ceremonial scarves, garlands and incense in their hands. During his nine day visit to Nubra valley, His Holiness Dalai Lama will consecrate the recently built 100 feet high Maitraya Statue. He will also give teachings on Oral Transmission of the Diamond Sutra at Yerma Gonbo Monastery and eight verses of training the mind and three principal paths at Diskit Palace. The organizer of these teachings of Buddhism is expecting thousands of Buddhist devotees from all over the country as well as from abroad to reach Nubra valley in the coming days for blessing and to participate the holy sermon.
