A total of 21 tableaux showcasing vibrant India's rich cultural diversity will be on display during the 61st Republic Day Celebrations in New Delhi. Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, the Defence spokesman, Mr. D. Mohanty said that the tableaux comprises 13 from different states and 8 from Central Govrnment ministries and departments. <br/><br/>One of the main attractions of this years tableaux will be Dabbawals from Maharashtra, as a tribute to its 125 year old profession. An estimated about 5,000 Dabbawalas serve lunch boxes to more than two lakh people every day in Mumbai without any mistake. <br/><br/>Another attraction on the Republic Day will be Tripura tableau, which has modeled itself on S D Burman songs. <br/><br/>Ministry of Youtlh Affairs and Sports will represent Commonwealth Games 2010, the biggest sporting event which will be held in the national capital in October. It will be the first Green Games with all venues incorporating features such as energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
