DA case: Court rejects CBI’s plea for narco analysis tests on Jagan

A CBI special Court in Hyderabad today dismissed a petition by the CBI seeking permission to conduct narco analysis tests on Kadapa Lok Sabha Member Jaganmohan Reddy and his accountant Vijaya Saireddy in connection with the disproportionate assets case against them.

The Principle special judge Durga Prasad said as per the Supreme Court’s guidelines, narco analysis and other scientific test should not be conducted on the accused without their consent.

The CBI has filed the petition for conducting narco analysis tests against the accused saying that they were not cooperating for the investigation. Jaganmohan Reddy was arrested on 27th May on the charges of conspiracy along with his father and then chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to dole out favours to companies and individuals who invested in his business.
