DA case: CBI grills Jagan Reddy for second day in custody

The CBI is questioning Kadapa Lok Sabha Member Y S Jaganmohan Reddy who was arrested in connection with the disproportionate assets case against him, on the second day today in custody.

The Central Investigating Agency has brought the Kadapa MP from Chanchalguda Central Jail to the CBI Office in Hyderabad amidst tight security arrangements to continue its interrogation.

A team of CBI officials continue questioning in the presence of two advocates following the High Courts directions.

The CBI had questioned the Kadapa MP yesterday at the DGP prisons office near the Central Jail where he was lodged, however the venue was shifted to the CBI office today.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has given him for five-day custody to the CBI to enable it to further probe the case.

Jaganmohan Reddy has been facing charges of conspiring with his father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy who was then the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh to dole out favors to various industries in return to the huge investments made in his companies.

He was arrested on 27th last month and presently lodged in jail in Hyderabad on judicial remand till 11th of this month.
