Cyprus has hailed India's continued support towards finding a just and lasting settlement for the reunification of that country. The Foreign Minister of Cyprus during his three day visit briefed the Indian leadership of the efforts being made by the Cyprus government to resolve the issue peacefully.AIR correspondent reports, the external affairs minister of Cyprus talked with his Indian counterpart on bilateral matters and international issues of mutual interest. He also called on the Vice President Mohd. Hamid Ansari and the leader of the opposition Sushma Swaraj.Cyprus has long standing relations with India and during the visit the visiting dignitary renewed his government's support for India's candidature for permanent membership of an expanded UN Security Council.
